Check it out here. Among other things, Grant discusses one of his most famous connections to Gerber, the infamous "finishing Omega the Unknown's plot" storyline. And the description of the piece on CBR's front page is a Dylan reference! So it is doubly interesting.

Helped me realize Gerber's contributions, as I was completely ignorant of his work until recently.

Steve Gerber was always overlooked for his contributions to the medium. It's sad that it took the death of the man who I looked at the same way most look at Kirby, for people to realize his greatness.
