A Talk With the (Face?) of Controversy

George Khoury has an interview up with Tiffany Fallon, the lady who posed for the Wonder Woman Playboy cover. I thought it was pretty clever of Khoury to approach Fallon about an interview.

Yeah, I guess.
The cover was a talking point, I suppose, and I assume there are a number of comicbook fans who would take comfort from the idea that a Playboy model might share some of their interests. But, still...
Did the interview have to be so friggin' sycophantic? I understand why George would kiss Tiffany's ass so much, after all, who amongst us wouldn't? But his attitude towards Playboy magazine itself was a little much. The way he went on, you'd think that Hugh Hefner was responsible for a groundbreaking medical discovery.
He's not.
He's just a seedy, little perv.

Lemme guess:
"I love the character, and I really think the cover is great!"
"What's your favorite thing about WW?"
"Oh you know, generic stuff that makes it clear that I actually know little to nothing about her. I'm just versed in the pop culture idea of WW."
"Why do you think you're a good fit for her?"
"I have dark hair and tits!"

Yeah, the IDEA of the interview was a lot better than the actual interview. Definitely agreed there.

Since Wonder Woman is a pop culture item, how can the pop culture idea of her be wrong? Isn't, in fact, the pop culture idea of a character then entirety of that character?
I mean, sure, Adam West's Batman is campy, silly, and outdated, but it's still a true part of the character. And the woman in the interview sure seemed to have a better connection with WW than just "it's neat the way she spins to change clothes, I wish I could do that"...
