Actually, that would be Reilly Brown, who plotted the final two issues. Nicieza just did the dialogue. I believe the story is something to the effect that he quit, but then agreed to come back and help Brown out.

Doesn’t the solicitation for Fraction’s new Iron Man title mention that a certain progeny of someone else is going to be the major villain (I’m trying to be vague, yes)? Or maybe this was in an interview?

Either way, it seems that his title will be picking up on at least some threads from The Order, though who knows if the team itself will show up.

The ending of Umbrella Academy didn’t entirely live up to my expectations, but the book pretty much came out of nowhere for me and ended up as one of the best mini’s in a long time, so there’s that. I don’t mind the characters not dying, because they’re neat characters and I’m sure Way’s got a lot more story for them.

Incredible Herc *is* a boatload of fun, isn’t it? Probably shouldn’t have surprised me, ’cause of Van Lente, but it still did. Spiffy.

The Order keeps getting better. Shame it only has the opportunity to “get better” twice more. Then again, maybe Fraction’s Iron Man series will be the Order mark II.

One final point: Early on, Danny apparently loans Sian sweatpants and a shirt. She specifically thanks him for them, so I have to assume they belong to him. Except the shirt is a belly shirt, so she can flash her navel. Why on Earth would Danny have that kind of shirt? I know half-shirts were big for guys back in the Eighties, but Danny doesnâ€™t strike me as the kind of guy who would be showing off his six-pack abs. If youâ€™re going to have Sian running around in a manâ€™s shirt, youâ€™re going to have to sacrifice the sex appeal of her showing off her toned midriff. Itâ€™s a minor thing, but it annoyed me.

Wait…a Bart Sears comic book has scenes that don’t make sense for the sake of making pin-up looking art?

No way!!!

I’m okay with the two characters in The Umbrella Academy surviving, because I’d rather have interesting characters alive than dead.

I was blown away by that series. I’m a big My Chemical Romance hater, and I was shocked by how good that comic was. Can’t wait for more.

What we need is Spidey or Cage not simply walking away, but having to beat the crap out of someone who is registered in order to leave the area. This way there will be years of tension later on after the l;aw is repealed.

I actually didn’t enjoy Iron Man very much, and haven’t the last half-dozen or so times I’ve read it. Prob just not the book for me.

Really enjoyed Herc and the Iron Fist one-shot. The sendoff for Deadpool was fun too, and I’ll echo the comments above re: how poorly that book has been treated. It was pretty fun as Deadpool Team-Up though.

I definitely echo the recommendation of Iron Man. It is consistently good yet remains one of the most underrated and under-purchased books on the market.

I’m sort of surprised that people didn’t expect Catwoman to be caught up in a dream sequence. She doesn’t make any sense as a world jumper in the current DC setup, as she’d almost certainly be stuck on whatever world she jumped to (either for lack of technology or because she’d be arrested relatively quickly.)

This is even more true given that Final Crisis seems very likely to reboot the whole Multiverse, and given that we’ve already had an exploring the multiverse story in Countdown.

Who the heck thought Cosmic Catwoman was a good idea? Can’t they get a new or different character/book for these decidedly un-Catwoman stories?

And why the hell are you buying it?!! Buy it when the crap is over with, not during. That’s good money for comics that aren’t good.
