This is a Weird Comic - The $ell Outs

I feel bad for getting Keith Moriarty's hopes up with my "sell-out" piece, so here is a link to a comic he co-wrote with Daniel Barlow with art by Tim Hulsizer. It involves the conceit that all the dead famous people you know are secretly covert agents who were pulled back into covert ops. The lead agents are Elvis Presley and Kurt Cobain, and in the first issue they have to pull Ronald Reagan back in after his "death."

Weird stuff, man - weird stuff.

Yeah... Can't say I wouldn't read more of it, though.

It's like the Invisibles, except more entertaining and less pretentious.

Hey! Thank you! I never expected that! If you ever need a favor, Brian, let me know, because I definitely owe you one!
That first chapter's going to be in print soon, with annotations, a text story, and some other fun stuff.
As long as I'm plugging, I'll note that we'll be at The Granite State Comicon in Manchester, NH on May 18, and at MoCCA in NYC on June 7-8.
Thanks again, Brian! You are so cool!

And thank you Brad and T.!

Wow... just wow.

I don't know what it was; on the surface, I would have an incredibly hard time explaining this to someone, or selling them on it by just showing them the art.

...but, damn if it isn't entertaining (and somewhat hilarious)!

Great job, Keith and company.

Damn, that's cool.

Much more fun than I expected. Looking forward to #2.

"Weird" does not do it justice.

This is actually pretty damn awesome.

Sounds cool. When is it out again?

Weird is definitely not a strong enough word.

I want more.

You are all awesome!
Thank you!

Denn: It'll be out in print by May 18th. Available for purchase at http://www.treesandhills.org (other fine comics -- some far less "weird" -- available now!)

Anyone who says that's like The Invisibles has no idea what The Invisibles is like, and is entirely unqualified to judge The Invisibles.

Thanks to everyone who liked the first issue of $ELL OUTS! We are hard at work on the second issue and hope to have it out next year.

As Keith said above, the first issue will be out in May and be available both at MoCCA in June and the Trees & Hills comics distro - http://www.treesandhills.org
