I liked the series a lot too. I do sort of wish we'd gotten some explanation of the Crime Bible's origins, though to be fair that wouldn't have fit this particular series. (My main question is, it's supposed to be Apokoliptian in origin, but it doesn't seem Darkseid would *self*-identify with "Crime," per se. Ergo, it must be a creation *of* Darkseid to manipulate crime to serve his ends, which is neat....)

The other knock I have against the series is that the covers just plain don't work. The Question is undoubtedly a difficult "face" to draw well, but I think it needs more *suggestion* of facial features than seen on these covers.

I didn't read 52, but I picked this up because I'm always interested to see what people will do with the Question.

I loved it, and I had no trouble following it.

Admittedly, I had a rough idea about the whole "religion of crime" concept because, well, I have internet access. But I think the comic does a perfectly good job of filling in the background, and it's not the most complicated idea to grasp... it's kind of goofy idea that turns up in superhero comics all the time.

One of the really impressive things about this series for me was the way Rucka managed to sell me on the idea- it becomes something quite believable, thanks to the way he fleshes it out.

So yeah, I agree, Crime Bible is a really good comic.
