Fraction-only Iron Fist was my hope, if there had to be any change at all.

Instead... a second Iron Man series? There couldn't be a more appropriate writer for an Iron Man series outside of Warren Ellis, granted. Iron Fist -- Kung-Fu Billionaire Extraordinaire -- could not have been a better place for Fraction to stretch out his frenetic pacing. It was certainly a better run than what he's done on the Punisher so far, although that is a good book.

So, let's review:

Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Brave And The Bold, Checkmate, Immortal Iron Fist, Punisher, and Thunderbolts are all losing fan favorite creative teams.

Plus Boneyard is going on hiatus and Devil's Due lost the license to produce their excellent G.I. Joe series...

Dark days, indeed, but at least my wallet will be a little happier in a few months...

I found it interesting on Ellis Whitechapel board, where he mentions why he started doing Superhero books again.
Apparently (from my understanding of his comments) he took on Ultimate Fantastic Four to help out Millar and Bendis, intending it to be a bit of a one off thing, and then Transmet trades saw a sales spike - which they've attributed to people who only read Superheroes not knowing who Ellis was and wanting to read more.
Turns out there had been enough of an audience turn over in the years since he was last doing Superhero stuff that superhero only fans had never heard of him before, so now he does the Marvel stuff as a gateway to his creator owned work (which he makes more money off of in the long run).

So Christos is taking over T-bolts? Christ... Guess that's ANOTHER Marvel book I'm dropping. I know a lot of people dig Gage's stuff, and that's cool, it's just that his stuff has felt bleh to me. Like I said though, I can see where others would love it, so no flame wars please LOL I love Brubaker, but even he couldn't make me care about Iron Fist.

Really bummed about the Iron Fist creative team change too. I buy IF in the hardcovers, so at least I can wait and gage the response to the new creative team before ordering the next collection past "Seven Cities."

Really unhappy with this. Swierczynski may be a capable writer, but Aja's artwork breathed a lot of life into this character. Travel Foreman looks like he is trying to ape Francis Lenil Yu, which I do NOT want.

Big thumbs down. I will be jumping off IIF after issue #16. That was one of my top 3 books to read each month.

Yeah, three of my favorite books right now have been revivals of third-tier characters, each by a team of two writers: Iron Fist, Herc, & Booster Gold. I discovered that two of them would lose their writers... on the same day. That sucked. But here's hoping Herc sticks around. Also, being a longtime X-Men fan, I do see a silver lining in the Brubaker/Fraction team moving to Uncanny... but still, I'm sure they'll be allowed less of a "do whatever the hell you want" ethos on a big book like that. Ah well.

They'll be writing Uncanny X-Men together, but Brubaker has been on that for quite a while, and Fraction was already leaving The Order.

T-Bolts is hard to get upset about. I like it, but maybe not enough to put up with the delays.

I've been enjoying Ellis on T-Bolts, but I'm not too heartbroken about him leaving, either. Brubaker and Fraction leaving Iron Fist really sucks, though. Are they leaving to work on something else?

Interesting, your point about IRON FIST being your favourite comic since (maybe) STARMAN, as both titles revivified third-string characters to the point of making them top tier -- bottom end of that tier, but up there -- and they both did it by putting the emphasis on legacy/generational heroism.

That's truly depressing. The books I truly enjoy right now are Blue Beetle, Iron Fist, and Booster Gold. With these gone (not guaranteed, but likely), my pull list will be a hollow mess.

Add on to this Rogers leaving Blue Beetle and Johns/Katz leaving Booster Gold and I am just bummed.

And yes, I'm one of those internet jerks not giving the new guy a shot on Iron Fist anytime soon. Nothing personal, but I'm going to need some real distance from the Brubaker/Fraction run.

It was seriously my favorite run on a Marvel/DC book in years, maybe since Starman and I don't particularly want to read anyone else's take right now.

Of course, on the other hand, I'd rather have Gage than Ellis on Thunderbolts, so there is that.

Ditto- the Brubaker/Fraction/Aja team have been writing my current favourite comic pretty much since day one and just like that they're gone presumably to concentrate on a team of mutants. I hate days and news like this.
