I'm looking forward to picking this one up today (assuming my LCS owner remembered, after the long hiatus, to order it for me), though I have to say that the new costumes (designed in part by Eric Larsen, I believe I've read) & such that I've seen in back-of-the-book previews have not been particularly inviting.

Why I like this book so much & yet get so little out of (but continue to buy, I suppose out of blind faith) Faeber's Dynamo 5 (which apparently sells better, something that apparently drove this overhaul) is one of the mysteries of modern science. Or something.

Color me excited; this and Dynamo 5 are consistently two of my favorite books, month in and month out.

No, it's pretty much a clean, safe jumping on point. The last issue pretty much ended a story arc relatively cleanly.

I've been reading NC in trades, but am considering making the switch to monthly (a la Dynamo 5, another fantastic book that everyone should check out and which reads great in singles). Anything in the "5 Years Later" jump that might spoil events in the later trades? Or is this a clean, safe jumping on point.

I read Noble Causes in trades, and I think it was after the first or second one it just fell off my radar.
Then one day I was a the comic shop and decided to get the next one (there were now three or four ahead of where I was available).
The next day I went back in and brought the rest.
It's a good series.
