If forgot about Geoffrey ! I really dug blind uncle Clay and thought that the whole Geomancer concept was not nearly used to its potential. Here's hoping the new Valiant rectifies that situation.

Secret Weapons ? I thought it was kinda cool, esp considering outside of Harbinger, there really wasn't another supergroup except for Hardcorps.

It is really a secret if no one cares? I mean, hands up if you weren't oging to buy Secret Defenders, then heard that SLEEPWALKER was going to show up for two episodes. Followed by Darkhawk.

And I say this as a fan of both. The rotisserie-league of heroes, different eveyr few issues, gives no reason to read the book. The storytelling engine is basically nonexistant, to channel John Seavey for a moment.

You had me worried there for a sec, Zach. I thought, "Wait, a piece written strictly on my memory of old Valiant comics isn't totally accurate? NEVER!"

But yeah, after checking, Secret Defenders had a sizable lead on Secret Weapons (it came out about six months earlier). I doubt Secret Weapons was actually based on Secret Defenders, though. It's just a funny coincidence (as, really, who would intentionally rip-off Secret Defenders?).

Actually, wasn't it kind of the other way 'round? I thought Secret Weapons came BEFORE Secret Defenders. And I still remember Hero Illustrated and Wizard snickering about "Geoff the Geomancer" being the name of an actual character, all these years later. Dipwads.
