Check out George Khoury’s column here for the news that Larry Marder’s Beanworld is going to be collected by Dark Horse, leading to an ALL-NEW series by Larry Marder for Dark Horse (edited by the great Diana Schutz)!!
Awesome news!

A bit late boys!
I read that on the main CBR page yesterday, and then came onto here and was shocked, shocked I say, that Mark Andrew hadn’t written something in response.
Now, we can only hope that Greg B reads it, doesn’t like it, and writes an overly negative review to annoy Mark, and then gets called a vagina by Larry Marder!
And on a sadder personal note, I’ve been wanting to read Beanworld ever since Gen 13 #13 where the Beans made an appearance.
Anyone else remember the 3-part #13?
I thought it was awesome when it came out.

Yeah, I don’t pay that much attention to the front page.
And, not only do I remember the Beanworld appearance in Gen-13, but I own five copies. (Mostly they were given as gifts. I only bought it twice.)

I just purged my comic collection down to 2 boxes, from about 15. Kept the Beanworld. This is great news.

Hey, I might get it, like it, and still claim I don’t just to get called a vagina by Larry Marder!
The first thing I thought of yesterday when I saw this was that MarkAndrew would be ecstatic. I don’t know if that’s sad or not.

Beanworld almost made my top 10, just on the first trade alone. 100% unique, in concept as well as in art and design, and it also works well as one of those “comic books to recommend to people who don’t think they like comic books.” So glad the original material’s going to be rereleased, and I’m looking forward to the new stuff!

Is there anything you won’t do for your readers?
Well, you’re not the only one.

This made my day.
But please don’t break my heart again like after Beanworld #0.
