jun, I'm a big fan of Love*Com but for some reason I don't talk about the title much -- it is just easier somehow to enjoy it and not feel the need to verbalize why it is such a lovely romance title.

Hee. Some series I read as they go and some it just seems better to do all at once, like if it seems there's going to be especial significance to minor plot details. Something slice-of-lifey, like "Venus," fares better in installment reading. Btw, have you read any Love*Com? It's great.

I've been enjoying Black God quite a bit, but yeah, the first volume is very confusing at times. The way they laid out the backstory and concept of the doppeliners could have been streamlined a bit. Still, Park's artwork and designs are beautiful and I liked it enough to stick with the series. Thankfully, volume 2 is a lot more straight forward and more enjoyable because of it.

I agree with your comment about the Venus art but I'm enjoying the story so much I can overlook it.....

Man....10 volumes straight through of ASN....what a crazy day that will be!!!!

Of these, I'm reading "Venus in Love" and hoarding "After School Nightmare" 'til it's completely released. I think it has 10 volumes. I like Venus, but the one thing that bugs me about it is the art - sometimes people look so similar I can't tell if that's intentional. In volume 1, there was some girl who looked just like Suzuna's friend (Hinako?) but evidently wasn't her. In volume 2, Fukami's new love interest facially looks just like Suzuna. It's a little irritating.

Re: Kieli... "Like a lot of Yen Press titles there is an overly complicated back-story that I could care less about..." If you could care less, that means you currently care some.
