The Crossing has to go. By extension, that eliminates Teen Tony, as well.

I'd also probably get rid of his faking his death and not telling Rhodey about it. It didn't fit their friendship and was only done to create an excuse for Rhodey to be pissed and leave the book to do the War Machine spinoff.

Was Garrett an actual doctor? If so, then yeah, he'd count.

I did my own Spider-Man issue for English in grade nine or so where I had him fight the Amazing Hamster Man, a buck-toothed classmate of Peter Parker's named Chuck who got bitten by a radioactive hamster. It gave him a rodentish face, tremendous strength, super speed and a hamster sense that tingled when wood chips were near.
He went straight to Coney Island and stole the ferris wheel, by running in center of it. Spider-Man lured him to a sawmill where he was distracted by a pile of wood-chips and sat down to chew until the cops arrived.
I think I got a B.

Here's the thing about Iron Man. I kinda see where Joe Q's coming from when he says IM's the most interesting character in the Marvel Universe right now. Even though I haven't enjoyed all of the portrayals of him in recent years, it feels like there's a lot that's up in the air now for Tony, and that spells tremendous potential. And since we've got Fraction on the new book, I think it's ALL going to be fuel for that majestic fire. So I wouldn't change anything at all.

Okay, if I'd change anything... it would be that Civil War wouldn't have disrupted the Knauf's initial direction for their Iron Man book. So either I wish they'd have given a little more time between the start of their book and Civil War, or that they'd waited to start their story until after the heat from CW had died down some. 'Cause I really loved their take on Tony as someone who had such a powerful ambition to change the world and really felt like he alone could do it, and didn't feel accountable to anyone... and then suddenly he's spearheading a project that makes superheroes subject to government regulations. Didn't make sense at all. And then because of CW and other events that followed they really had to shift gears so many times, I lost all interest in the book.

For Spider-Man, how about a 40-something villainess known only as the Cougar?

Jeff Ryan...I think Red Sox Nation forgave Buckner, even though it was Calvin Schraldi and Bob Stanley that screwed the Sox over in Game 6. How about teen Tony : Iron Man fans :: "STEVE BARTMAN!!!!" : Cubs fans?

Who is it?
Nathan Garret - Black Knight II
If it is Huey Lewis, that is definitely worth 2 cool points.

For Iron Man, I agree with the Extremis answer. It gives him too many extra powers, including regenerating his foot recently.

Brian just showed us this one:

http://www.comics.org/coverview.lasso?id=41601&zoom=4

As for the "Who Is It?", if you're being really tricky, you could say "Dr. Strange." Of course, in order to do that, you have to bend almost every one of those hints into a pretzel.

I'd undo pretty much every storyline in Iron Man where he was operating the suit remotely. If Tony's not in the armour, then there was nothing really dramatic about the book, and I could take it or leave it.
