Next to Quantum and Woody, Ninjak was my favorite Valiant/Acclaim title. I bought the entire run from an ailing comic book store in the late 90s for the low low price of ten cents an issue. I agree with Jeff Ryan, the concept is pretty much the Last Starfighter, but Busiek was at his peek during this time, so it was an extremely fun read.

See, I don't think I read one issue of the old Valiant, but I was all over the Acclaim comics because of the creative teams. Everything from Doctor Tomorrow to Troublemakers to whatever.

This is one people should pick up in quarter bins. Its a good solid series with great writing and art. The concept sounds lame but it was a fun comic.

Sounds like the Last Starfighter -- everyday kid beats video game, gets called to do it in real life agianst gaint evil forces.
