In addition to her being overweight, I loved that she initially tried to fly with one fist stretched out in front of her, like superheroes always do, but discovered that it just made flying more difficult - that's why her arms are down at her sides on the cover...

One other thing i liked about the character was that she was over-weight, but in a 'real' way. Too many times overweight characters tend to be on the obese side (Blob, Big Bertha, Sumo, etc), so it was nice seeing a real figured woman in a comic book series who still put on the spandex and became a hero.

Damn, the first 25 or so issues of Harbinger were awesome, weren't they?

Huh.

I knew almost nothing about Valiant, so this was really interesting to me.

For instance, I learned that 86% of all comics published by Valiant were Harbinger # 1.
