Yeah, that's an awesome line, Teebore. I miss the days when comics occasionally had dialogue on the covers...

I'm pretty sure the line "Miss America! Do you see any sign yet of that Nazi Vampire?" is one of the reasons why comics are awesome.

That scene where the Baron tries to put the bite on Cap always made me laugh. The dude's right there, has his hands on Cap, his eyes are like an inch away -- and he can't tell that the shirt is made of chainmail until he bites into it? Wha?

There was a LATER "Baron Blood" who can still be used for this list:

VIC STRANGE
The younger brother of DR. STEPHEN STRANGE.

Yeah, back when he was still a rich, arrogant surgeon, Doc was sorta responsible for Vic's death, and placed him in a cryogenic container to possibly heal him later.

Years passed, and Doc became a sorcerer, and one day Doc cast a spell that turned Vic into a Vampire (an accident).

Long story short, Vic took up the name and costume of Baron Blood and did the anti-hero thing for awhile.
Until he crossed the line, started attacking innocents, and Doc had to put him down (while in the body of Wong*).

*Due to the events of Infinity Crusade, Doc's body was otherwise occupied at the time.

Anyway, there's a "V" or an "S" if you need one.

I'm proud to say I've got copies of the two Stern & Byrne issues with Baron Blood. I was shocked to find them in such good condition for $1 each.
