Comic Book Alphabet of Vampires – L

Again, coinciding with First Second Books’ Vampire Month, here’s the next in our alphabet of comic book vampires!

This time, let’s do an actual First Second book!

Enjoy!

Little Vampire

Little Vampire is yet another one of Joann Sfar’s top notch works.

It is a tale of the friendship between a young vampire and a young boy. It is a touching work without being too kiddish, and the artwork by Sfar is stunning.

Here are some sample pages (click to enlarge)…

Awesome, right?

“And I’m up while the dawn is breaking,
even though my heart is aching.”
“I should be drinking a toast to absent friends
instead of these alphabets.”

Give it a rest, dude.

Love “Little Vampire” and the art is just great. Those backgrounds! Wonderful work. Right up there with “Owly” and “Korgi” of the best all-ages titles adults can enjoy as well.

you rock
