I agree with the first commenter. I love Dixon, but I love Nicieza, too. Also, if anyone can take editorial lemons and make character driven lemonade it’s Nicieza. His X-Force run kicked ass, and is also notable as the first time a good book was given over to Loeb. You’d think Marvel would have learned their lesson after that.

Birmy: Nicieza is forgiving for all X-Men work for his “I’m quitting” letter where he called staying on X-Men as the perpetuation of mediocrity.

I haven’t been reading Robin, but I’ll check this out. I rather like Nicieza’s work, and I’ve been missing him since Cable & Deadpool was cancelled.

I came back to Robin because Dixon came back. Now that he’s gone… well, it’s pretty obvious. The whole fiasco with him also leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and I’m tempted to drop the relatively few DC books I have left on my pull list.

It seems like a lateral move, though I love Dixon’s work but never forgave Nicieza for his ’90s X-Men work. Dixon’s last issue has already shipped, so off comes Robin from my pull list.

Back issues of Chuck Dixon’s Robin was the first thing I started to collect when I got into comics. That said, I do like this move.

I hate to see Chuck Dixon go. On the other hand, Fabian Nicieza’s my favorite comic book writer, so uh… I’m happy to see him come.
