Writer Neil Kleid did improv, too.

Jesse Falcon is a big improv performer in NYC, and he’s a high-up at Toy Biz. I know of at least two Marvel Legends figures with the faces of improv performers.

Wacker’s friend Asaf Ronen moved to Austin a few years ago and decided to restart the format there. So same show format, different city. had no idea Robertson had been involved though! that’s so cool. i’m always amazed at how much the comic book and improv worlds overlap.

I knew Wacker used to do this quite a few years ago, and I thought he had ended the show when he became an editor at DC Comics. I remember that Darick Robertson was in it while he was doing Transmetropolitan.

The show has been fun so far, and we’ve sold out or almost sold out every night. Even last week, when we had some problems with the air conditioner (it’s been replaced since then), we oversold capacity. There are pictures of some of the cast members (not me, unfortunately) in makeshift costumes on a rooftop and the absolutely awesome set painted by one of my cast mates that shows off the comic book world the show takes place in. We’ve had some good reviews too.

Like Brian said, we only have two shows left before this run is over! Come see it while you can! Come by and say hi!

holy crap! didn’t expect to see friends of mine mentioned on CBR when i logged in today. way to go, Asaf! got to catch the first two performances of this when i was back home in Austin (and i’ll be back for the last one!) and it really is great Silver Age-y fun.
