it wouldn't beat iron man, but you forgot to mention titans 39, the issue where kid flash and robin quit the team (paving the way for nightwing's intro a few issues later). titans 39 has a truly iconic cover image as well.

No brainer.

Its not like ASM 39 was where Goblin (or even Norman) was introduced. That might have tipped the balance. Its an important issue, but Iron Man's introduction beats it.

Cerebus featured MoonRoach kicking ass on the Fleagel Bros.
