Peter O’Toole WOULD have been well-cast as the Joker! That name had never occurred to me. Of course Mark Hamill’s voice seems to me the definitive Joker voice now.

Thanks, everybody. Truthfully, it was always going to be at least a two-parter but another job came up and I’m having to do this in and around it; this was originally intended to be the end of part one. But next week it will be finished for sure.

Clearly, Hatcher is now writing for the trades instead of the singles.

I only keep coming back because he’s so darn good at it.

And, I’d buy a Hatcher-written Batman story right now, no questions.

AGGGHHH! Another cliffhanger!!

But wow, REALLY enjoying this story. It’s fascinating stuff without the comic connection, so when it came back around to the geek stuff, I was almost surprised.

You may be interested to know that Batman writer Steve Englehart also wanted to see Peter O’Toole as the Joker. I’ve got an old issue of Comics Interview from 1989 where he talks about the Batman movie treatments he wrote & he suggested O’Toole.
