Thanks for the positive review, Brian. Though to be fair to Luis, as the editor, I have to take some of the heat for fight scenes being confusing. It's easy for the guy who wrote it to see how all the pieces come together, but I'm also the one who's supposed to make sure that anyone can pick it up and follow it.

Glad you liked the "anatomy lesson" aspect of the backup story. You'll probably like the second book on that basis as well. You can see a page from Luis' part of the story (he does the backup this time, and the pencils are freaking BEAUTIFUL) over at ye olde blogge. Oh yes, cowboys and vampires. And hopefully a decent story at the same time. Gervasio and Jok, who did the backup in MURDER MOON will illustrate the main story this time.

And hey, I remember Brad from FBR, too. Been what, four years or so since it closed?

That cover reminds me of something from Epic or First or some other '80s publisher, but I am intrigued by the whole idea of an in-story anatomy lesson kinda deal. Also, I vaguely remember Maxwell from Fanboy Rampage, so big ups there.
