Thanks, Anonymous, yeah, I had narrowed it down to a couple of guys, but I just couldn’t tell for sure, so I was hoping perhaps just one fellow was drawing the strip the last couple of months of ’42.

This site is always a great resource to check if you have any questions about the early Superman or Batman artists.

A number of artists were ghosting back in ’42, so if you’re trying to identify a specific story try comparing the art to the samples on the website.

There definitely is a Byrne feel to it, but I dunno if that is because is IS Byrne or if it just because it is in the same style of Byrne.

I’m positive I’m wrong, but something about the face makes me think John Byrne.
