His art was nicely dynamic as always, but the characters were often blobby and rushed looking. And Stan's plots just weren't as interesting as his work on FF and Spidey.
I loved the Mount Rushmore section. Gold.

Am I the only one who likes the Kirby/Lee X-MEN? The art doesn't really dazzle in the same way it did over on FF, but it's good visual storytelling.

32. Big Numbers- Iâ€™m hoping Moore will hire Mark Bagley to finally finish it. Not because I want to see that, but Bagleyâ€™s a work horse, and the very idea of it amuses me.

Read a few interviews with each of these gents, and you get the impression that they both dislike "perceived slights". I'm imagining a fistfight or two before they finish the book.

At the same time, one of my favorite writers and favorite artists, working together? Curran, you are a genius.

Can you imagine what an Absolute Cerebus would look like? In the same style as Absolute Sandman... but five times more volumes... WoW!

Frank Quitely has also drawn some gorgeous stuff for 2000AD before Mr Morrison lured him over... See if you can find his run on Missionary Man anywhere!

Back in the early Sixties, my Dad bought the comics, and he only bought the characters he recognized, so I started on Superman and Batman. When I started seeing Kirby's work, I thought it was garish and ugly.

Once I started to recognize that comic layouts were more than just a series of pretty pictures, I realized The King's true greatness. But It was Tales of Asgard that made me a True Believer.

I wrote up my list on paper, but I can't settle on what will be on it. I didn't want to write a far-reaching topic (say, Joe Kelly on Deadpool) and something that it encompasses (Deadpool kicking a possessed Captain America in the nuts before saving the world), but it keeps working like that. Also, I excluded television shows, movies and stuff like that. Just fifty things from comics . . . and it's tough.
