Not quite. Before Supergirl, we saw IN THE CRISIS SERIES ITSELF the destruction of many worlds/universes, including the earth of the Crime Syndicate, Alexandor Luthor being saved by his father and being established as an important figure, the death of the Montior, and the destruction of the Multiverse, more or less (except for 5 worlds). So a lot did happen, actually.

<blockquote>"46. Completism- Put down the crappy X-Men comic! All of your other X-Men comics will not cease to exist if you do not buy it! I swear! They’re just kidding when they say they’ll come to your house and rip them up!"</blockquote>
Wasnt' it She-Hulk who threatened that - buy <b>her</b> comic or she'd rip up all your X-Mens? Or did they reuse that later?

Crisis: I'm going by 20-year-old memories, but my recollection of impression of at least the first several issues of it was that it was all lead-up to stuff that happens in some other books, then the next issue was talk about what happened in a non-spoilery way (so you'd still have to go get the other books), lead up to stuff that happens in other books, lather, rinse, repeat. Nothing actually <i>happened</i> in the Crisis series until Supergirl died. But I could be wrong. Plus if you didn't already know who everyone was, which might have been difficult even for the average fan let alone a first-timer, you didn't know who was doing all this stuff half the time because they had to jam like 80 characters into a 20-something page book.

Brad Curran, Jimmy Corrigan is so sad and depressed because he lives in a world where backwards retards like yourself waste money every week to see how Final Wars or Secret Crisis has affected Wolver-kid or Iron toes. Anyone who is upset because the new issue of Avengers didn't come out on time or because they killed off one of the 2,000,000 incarnations of Batman or Superman doesn't have a hobby they have an affliction. How can adults give a damn about the same stupid stories of bloated musclemen for 40 freakin years? What is wrong with you people?

Now, please continue to argue about how Peter David or some other hack mistakenly implied that the Thing is stronger than the Hulk.

You really must give webcomics another shot! The internet is the future of comics, as I see it, so you might as well grit your teeth and read some stuff on screens rather than on paper. Are there TONS of good online comics right now? No, not yet. But there are enough good ones that you can't ignore the online medium. And I know, I hate reading things on a screen too, but the comics scene online is simply becoming too big and important now to brush off for a cheap technical reason. Bite the bullet! It's worth it, I promise. Get ahead of the game. God, I sound like an evangelist here, but I do believe what I'm saying. And I'm only posting anonymously because I do an online comic myself and I didn't want this post to be seen as an advertisement for my own comic. Pure motives!

This is the most unintentionally hilarious thing on the Internet this week. Like Comic Book Guy made flesh, writ large in glittering pixels across the sandlot in the sky, blubbering histrionic sludge in mangled tense and fractured syntax, full of sound and fury, signifying an adult baby. Bravo, O unheralded critic of the Comics Blogosphere and World Thereof - truly, places have been put in and all once again set right. You infinite pansy.

Hahaha, I was away, so I just read this thing.

Dude, you seriously listed a bunch of comic bloggers you don't like?

That's hilarious.

Anyhow, do note that I happen to enjoy all the bloggers Brad mentioned - I especially like Mike Sterling. He's one of my fav'rits.

I'm sorry. I will try to work on my unintentional, Lobdellesque comedy value. Seriously, if you have to go back 15 or 20 years for comics you hate, like Crisis and Ruins, you really need to start reading more bad comics. Joe Casey can only write so fast. Good luck.
