Iayne,
Having lived in Zagreb since the early 1990s, I can tell you that there's not much in the water here besides a little chalk (it's some seriously hard water). At least, drinking it over the years has done nothing to improve my drawing or storytelling talents. Must be something else...

Another great artist. I hadn't seen his work outside of his Y the Last Man fill-ins, but the other stuff looks much more detailed and elaborate. I realize that he was probably trying to maintain the feel that Pia Guerra established for the book, and it's admirable that he could suit that style as well. But his " original " ( i.e. directed by his own style, not another's ) work looks marvelous.

Sudžuka, Parlov, the late Edvin Biuković - all Croatian, all masters of cartoonish realism and storytelling. Is there something in the water in Zagreb, or what?

Wow! He did Lady Constantine?? I thought I had first seen his stuff on Y... wrong, again!
Love those pencils on the Y pages by the way. Gorgeously clean!

Did he do a couple of fill-in issues on the Exterminators as well, or was I hallucinating that one?
