Mister Perkins should be on every Marvel title–art appreciation is always subjective, but Mister Perkins is the best on the subject.

Wow!! I feel vastly honoured to be included in this series. Thank you so much!

The Macbeth character studies are from a Macbeth adaptation that Mike Carey and I have often talked about and would love to tackle at some point. The Polanski version of the film is, indeed, fantastic – but wasn’t really influential in the look of the main protagonists…at least consciously.

I’m a great admirer of Mr. Gulacy’s work – in particular his earlier work and primarliy his Black Widow and “Blood on Black Satin” from Eerie. In fact, these pieces of exquisite illustration were pointed out to me by the aforementioned Mr. Butch Guice.

Perkins reminds me of Paul Gulacy

If I was an artist I’d take that as an insult.

I’m not taken with the Crossgen covers, but his art improves massively after that.

Mike Perkins is a fantastic artist as those samples prove. I may have to check out the Stand adaptations despite a long-term dislike of Stephen Kings work

Those MacBeth sketches seem to be based on the Roman Polanski adaptation. Any truth to that?

I picked up the first Stand comic more-or-less for Mike Perkins and it didn’t disappoint. He’s getting better and better. AWESOME work.

I’ve met Mike Perkins at least four times, at cons, and he is always one of the nicest and funniest guys to talk to. Extraordinarily appreciative of his fans, too.

Perkins reminds me of Paul Gulacy (an illegitimate son – perhaps?).
Both are terrific in their own rights.

I’d kiss Marvel’s feet (if she was a woman), for putting Perkins on SK’s The Stand.
Here’s to hoping that Perkins does the whole series!!!
