Surely we all need someone to look down on. Personally, I look down on people into Harry Potter, manga, gaming, wrestling â€¦ basically, anyone whoâ€™s into anything Iâ€™m not.

Yup – Personally I look down on Real Ale Drinkers. (that’s not just people who drink real ale, but the ones who hate anyone who doesn’t)

Well, I guess it *was* if the point is that Harry Potter obsessives are at least as insufferably stupid as comics obsessives tend to be.
Probably thereâ€™s more to it than that, but (a) I seem to be in a bad mood (more than usual, even) & (b) itâ€™s Monday morning.

Thanks for mentioning that, since I think I didn’t really realize it. I read the series, but only in digest form (which means I’m apparently a few months away from Whedon’s run, much less Moore’s).

I liked it, I was indeed amused. But I have to figure comic-writer-guy was glad to see the back of it. Enough crazed fans to deal with, poor guy probably doesn’t need crazed NON-fans too!

In addition to what Mr. Bailey put up, he’s also currently writing Marvel’s Runaways. But I think what Brian wrote is correct, you don’t really need to know who the writer was for the story to be amusing (in fact the original Blog doesn’t even say who it was). It’s not exactly comedy gold, but an interesting exchange between a comic professional and a new fan.

Wrote & drew Strangers in Paradise (which I otherwise know, & care, nothing about). Doing the same right now with Echo, which is pretty decent. And, I think, now writing Mary Jane Loves Spider-Man, for some odd reason … presumably because bills won’t pay themselves
