I can't say I'm crazy about him. Obviously talented, but his painted colors always looks dull to me. Also, the fist on that second Blade cover is way too small.
But this is the first I'm seeing of his pencil cover sketches, which I like a lot.

Ya, Djurdjevic is way up there in terms of speed and quality. I was so worried about his interiors since painted style never works for interiors, but he wowed me with his more conventionally presented art.
Though I'm not sure he's unknown enough to warrant an entry in this series. I thought he was really high profile.

Djurdjevic is amazing and insanely fast. In an interview with SiDEBAR, he revealed he only spends about sixteen hours on each of his covers, and he pencilled those two Thor issues in ten days a piece. Granted, he also said the pace was due largely to the weakness of the U.S. dollar, but still... The dude's an animal.

I first came to appreciate his art back when he redesigned the x-men for a site contest, a loong time has passed since then and his art grew a lot. Seriously. He deserves the "Star" rank.

However I'm kinda disappointed Mr. Cronin... No love for Eduardo Risso?

I'll have to read those Thor issues (7 and 8, I believe) again, but yeah. Marko is fantastic when it comes to pencils, design, and paint. Excellent amount of personality in his millions of covers, the Blade ones in particular.

i was beyond impressed with Marko's interior work in Thor. Not only does he have an excellent ability to convey exciting single images, but he is also extremely successful at sequentials. His line work may not be as stunning in the sequentials, but his flow, pacing, and character movements make for a great read.

Marco is one of the best out there. It's always a pleasure to marvel at his work. I agree, it would be nice to see him do some more interior work...maybe on a Thor quarterly with Matt Fraction. Now that would be great treat!

I'd buy a book just of his covers. Amazing stuff. His wife is not too shabby as an cover artist as well. Those Thor pages are beautiful, I'd like to see him do more interiors.

Pretty good artist there. He could definitely make a living doing covers only, like Brian Bolland.
