I saw an exhibition years ago of his lithos, and other works, at the University of Kentucky. It was one of the few times I enjoyed going to an art museum.

French aristocracy: always a good target for scorn. Even as heads were rolling left and right, no one ever said, "Boy, I wish we had a king again. Those were the good old days."

They might not have said that becuase they speak French in France, but the point remians.
