DC would not have a hard time selling me a major crossover or weekly event book based around the heroes of the DCU banding together to face the terror of the giant immortal gopher.

The issue is dated Aug/Sept. 1978 so it probably came out around May or June of '78.

I like how most everyone has become so fascinated with the hole in the ground that they don't notice the massive gopher tearing through the wall right behind them. It's a good thing Batman has honed his powers of observation to razor sharp perfection so he can spot those little things that others would miss.
