I own a copy of the Witchblade Compendium vol 1, which collects issues 1-50. I bought it new on eBay for $50--not a bad deal for 50 glossy, full-color issues. However, the binding is a definite weakness. The book is so thick that gets a little tricky to read the inner inch or so of the pages near the center of the book. And by the time you finish reading the book, the spine looks TERRIBLE on your bookshelf, because it's all creased and wrinkled. Still, if you're just looking to catch up with the series, it's inexpensive and a lot less of a hassle than trying to track down 50 loose issues.

I've been really tempted to buy those 1300-page Wildstorm omnibuses. They have them for Tomb Raider, Cyberforce, Darkness, Witchblade, and even the compelte Rising Stars, all spinoffs and side issues included. They retail for $100 but you can find them onlien for half as much. Only problem is I hear the binding isn't that strong. Which may be why you've never seen a 1300-page full-color softcolor glossy comic before.

Around two years ago Top Cow put the earliest pages of Witchblade (& 2 other series) on Drunk Duck as a marketing tool.

there was a omnibus style trade that collected the first 25 or so issues. i think the top cow trades with the black and yellow logo are also the old issues too.
