That’s It, We Should All Quit

That is, all people who review comics on the internet. We should just pack it in. Because if this doctor of kicking young dogs branches out past talking about some of my favorite comics of all time (and Infinite Crisis) with his supreme succinctness, we’re just wasting our time trying to top him. I’d say we might as well start picking apart plot holes in Star Wars movies, but there’s a guy on his website who beat us to that.
So, I have no idea what we’re going to do instead of blog about dumb things in comics and Star Wars. Maybe go outside?
I’m scared too.

“From Hell is about a time traveling Jack the Ripper who worships penises and the sun.”
“The Dark Knight Returns is about how Batman is awesome and also television.”
Those made me laugh

The “Star Wars” thing worked on my phone, but who cares? There are roughly 8,000 science-fiction novels that are more worthwhile to read than any movies are to view. Movies suck. Every needs to go and read a Poul Anderson or Hal Clement novel right now. Dammit.

I like how the shortest comic got by far the longest review.
I like “Animal Man is a great comic book about why we should feel bad for enjoying it.”

The ISS appreciates your business.
And we don’t believe you have to quit. We just think you should work as our slaves, for the ultimate destruction of happiness in the world.

I’m a bad person. Reading the Star Wars thing, I almost found myself retorting to the question of why the Emperor left Death Star II out in the open, “Because it was a trap!” in an Admiral Ackbar voice. But I didn’t, and that should count for something.

He missed Swamp Thing: Pornography for plants. No “basically” there.

Some tool:
“Hipster alert! Everybody put up your Pretentious-Douchebag-Deflector Shields!”
Yeah, because nothing says “hipster” like references to Poul Anderson or Hal Clement.

“Uncanny X-Men is about black people and gays who are straight and white, but have superpowers”
GENIUS!!!

Here is a revolutionary idea: you can enjoy both movies and sf novels, seriously.

The Spider-Man review was hysterical.
“Don’t like x, like y?” Must we go there, especially on a comment thread about funny blog posts?

The Amazing Spider-Man is about how Aunt May’s in trouble and there isn’t much time.
So true, so true; except i have no idea what its about now as i haven’t read it for about half my life.
