		<description>Yes the Irony would be the sympathy towards the monster within Mary Shelly&#039;s work. Many modern commentators on that cartoon (and there have been quite a few) concentrate on the the fact it is a monsterous &#039;other figure&#039;. Some comment on the created aspect (Charles Stuart Parnell, M.P. &amp; head of the Land League, is cast as Victor Frankenstein), but no modern commentators seem to take into account that the monster has been wronged. It is probably because most people in the 20th and 21st centuries only know the movies and not the book. Unfortunately the print shown above has cut off the rest of the caption:
