That scrapbook is absolutely amazing Greg, I hope the kids cherish it and get a lot of help from it. It is one of the best resources any aspiring cartoonist could have!
The sketch by Stephen Wilson made me laugh out loud, its so great. I also dig Pat Blaine's Hulk.
And a Paul Chadwick sketch of Concrete: gold!

PS is Chadwick finished with Concrete or will we get more? (PLEASE MORE!)

And once again, I find myself enthralled by your blogs, Mr. Hatcher.

They have an -I dunno, a human quality that many others lack. One can tell you're not just killing time or venting, you are sincerely sharing with us stuff that has moved you.

And what stuff! From OZ books to cartoonist scrapbooks- they never fail to amaze.

So thank you. Keep it up, and I'll keep reading this.

PS: All of the above pieces were great, but my favorite has to be Brianna's, Scott's and Tom Beland's. Even if I hate Beland's guts for making me a Romance Comic Fan. DAMN YOU, BELAND!! DAMN YOU TO HECK!!!

I don't know how many times I've looked through Greg's scrapbook in the years I've known him but I never fail to be impressed by not only the awesome range of talent represented but by the generous, sincere and utterly non-condescending support the contributors offer to his students. The benefits to the kids of simply being taken seriously by the pros is incalculable. Kudos to them and megakudos to Mr. H for having the brilliant notion to start the thing in the first place.
