Being Canadian, I used to complain for years that we're paying too much than U.S., not to mention that Canada's such a smaller population than U.S.

At any rate, for the past year, some of my local comic shops were selling their products at the us prices rather than the canadian prices due to the strong dollar.

I personally hope that comic publishers will drop the canadian prices from their cover pricing, especially now, that we are apparently headed for a "recession" and most especially when publishers are planning to raise their pricing soon.

Isn't it still the case that ironically a lot of them are actually printed in Canada? Shipped to the States and then back to Canada?

I really hope that they get rid of the Canadian pricing, as all it does is drive me away from my local comic shop and towards Chapters or Amazon, which offer better discounts and deals.

I'd just like to point out that I did this on Criminal over a year ago.

Marvel's Canadian prices shot up a few weeks ago. DC has had the same price for Canada and US for a few months.

In all the shops I've step into here in Toronto, they've always sold for the US cover price for as long as I can remember on new comics however not on trades, which is usually the prices at higher than the US but less than the CND. I've always wondered how they can get away with that, so hopefully a Canadian retailer can explain that here.
