now it's Tonto's turn...

to bash your skull in with the butt of a rifle.
That's just how he rolls.
Tonto hates it when people doubt him with stupid questions...

If you don't fight it, Tonto will make your death a quick one...

The last thing that goes through your head (before the knife) is "No way can that dude hit me in the head with that knife from that distance!"

I love how he's billed as Lone Ranger's "companion." I would think "partner" would describe it better.

I had no idea Tonto was so legitimately badass. Seriously, that third cover is just amazing.

Wasn't Tonto called the Lone Ranger's "faithful Indian companion" on the old radio show?
Terrific covers.

Tontos is the only guy on Earth who can wear fringe & still look manly.

Yes, John, that's how they billed him on the show.

I dare you all to drop a piece of garbage on Tonto's lawn.

That one second from the bottom is incredible.
Tonto's face in that one is so friggin' INTENSE.

I simply cannot look at a Tonto story with a straight face.
Why? Because in Spanish (my native tongue) tonto means "fool".
Fortunately, in the Spanish reprints of the Lone Ranger comics I read as a child, they changed his name to Toro ("Bull") which is a much better name for an Indian.

Man, Tonto was a bad ass.
I hope Depp taps into that intensity for the Lone Ranger flick.

I heard there were plans to bring him back as the Winter Indian and then have him put on the mask once the Lone Ranger gets killed off after the civil war.

heh! Reminds me of the Far Side cartoon of a retired Lone Ranger!
Nice set of covers Brian!
