That font on the letters of Tiny Life is the biggest pain (even the exceedingly positive reviews mention that font). I've redone it for the actual release.

Pretty much, Logan. Basically, it's a book that isn't monthly and is much longer than a regular comic. It might be a series, but it comes out very irregularly. Usually it's just a stand-alone story.

So I guess I'm not completely familiar with the term "Graphic Novel". Does it mean a comic book style approach put into a whole novel?

I'll second that recommendation for Aetheric Mechanics â€“ one of the best things Ellis has done in a while, and Avatar is the only place where he'd be able to do it. Great story, great writing, great art â€“ perfect package.

I just think that the premise behind Dad! and the way King keeps it from being horribly sentimental make it worth a look. The flaws don't ruin it for me.

I basically co-sign your review of DAD!, Greg, although I don't see how you would end up with slightly recommended. I mean, I get the notion of "there is something worth seeing here, even if it heavily flawed." I'd totally agree with that. But how does that equal "recommended," even "slightly"? I just can't get behind recommending something THAT flawed, even if I do admire a lot of it. By the by, apparently, the artwork will look a lot different in the printed book.

I liked Almighty! Some elements that you hold against the book are what made it enjoynable for me ... not everything is, and has to be, explained to carry the rather simple story, and leaving it intriguing rather than frustrating.
