But as I washed the dishes, I kept thinking, “That wasn’t Namor. I know who Namor is, and that ain’t him.”

You want to introduce that douchebag as Ultimate Namor? Fine.

You want to make fun of the Marvel Universe in MARSHALL LAW or ASTRO CITY or any other non-Marvel comic, and do a Namor equivalent like that? Fine.

Heck, you want to make fun of Captain Bucky America, and kill Namor and have his cousin Bubba be the New Eurotrash Sub-Mariner? That’s cool, too.

But there’s no good reason for a character who’s been consistently written and drawn for almost 70 years (and I’m talking about his fictional years) to have a personality transfer and suddenly lose his looks.

There’s plenty to make fun of about Namor, starting with his clothes (although he’ll kick your ass if you do it to his face). But this is sloppy, careless, shoddy story-telling.

No, I ignored that bit because I wasn’t going to get into an argument with you about the fact that you took my 3 comments across two posts on the same topic to be “endlessly repeating” a line. And none of them repeated a line.

I’m not arguing with you about it. That’s what you don’t get. I don’t care what you thought about the scene, or if my opinion offended you in some way. If you want to act like you’re suddenly detached and above it all, go ahead. But stop invoking my name like you’re some kind of martyr.
