The kid is actually WOLVERINE, and this claws are not adamantium yet, those are his bones. HE IS BORN MUTANT. YOU CAN PAUSE the part of the trailer where his claws are shown, the claws are not smooth. he only got his adamantium claws when he was experimented on and there he got his metal claws.

Really, though, the claws should be implants. I like the idea of everything that makes Logan "Wolverine" instead of Regenerating Smell-Dude being the result of experiments. Adds a nice dimension to the character. Then again, I guess they'd never have run his book for years without the claws. Me, I would've subscribed to Logan: Declawed at #1 and stayed faithful all the way through the series' climactic end at #2. As it was, the Fatal Attractions books were probably the last few comics I ever read as a kid.

Yeah, but I'm not sure if there's much to the supporting cast in this one. Of course, if we get a Deadpool screwball comedy movie out of this somehow, all will be forgiven...

... except for the slo-mo wire work. I know I said it already, but, geez, the Matrix was nearly 10 years ago now, Hollywood. This stuff doesn't impress anyone over the age of six these days.

Just thinking, isn't Fox reproducing the X-Men recette, Wolverine + a lot of support cast ?!!

There are two poles on my comic movie swingometer - Dark Knight and LXG... As long as Wolverine stays somewhere near the middle it will be doing alright in my book...

Just wish Sabretooth had blonder, shaggier hair...

While it looks cool, and I'm a fan of Jackman, it looks to me like they're trying to jam in the Howletts, Silver Fox, the war-hero stuff, Weapon X, the Sabertooth feud....Gambit's in here too, and I'm told there's Deadpool as well. How much plot is in this movie?

Not a fan of that trailer at all, sorry - it looks like a very 'budget' approach to such a profitable property. But director Gavin Hood's 'Tsotsi' was okay, and hey, it's Wolverine, so I'm still going to see it.

That said, I don't find Weapon X and its endless derivatives to be nearly as interesting a story as the Claremont-Miller mini-- or a contemporary-only one-on-one spy-thriller type movie between Wolverine and Sabertooth, with the latter taunting the former about memory holes but without any of the answers being filled in. Wolverine's much more interesting as a mystery than as an endless Escher sketch of memory implants, amnesia, and retcons.

Exactly... And even in the club scene, it's not that hard to see that Bats was kicking ass on everyone around him. Besides, clubs are SUPPOSED TO BE DARK.

Anyone who found TDK a snoozefest should probably just curl up with a double feature of Fantastic Four movies. Perhaps that's more his speed.

The lack of costumes doesn't bother me here, Stephen, seeing as this is Wolvie's origin(s). And the X-Men films downplayed the costume angle too. But I agree with you about the rest. I hope Wolverine is good, but it's almost certainly going to seem like child's play compared to TDK. I mean, c'mon... This is FOX we're talking about here.
