I specifically voted for the second Barracuda fight. I thought the first arc was one of the worst of Ennis' MAX run and the character was nothing special though the fight itself was kind of fun. However, the second had a great story behind it, Barracuda was fleshed out and the fight was one of the most brutal I've ever read.

I am a big Punisher fan and hence tend to get disppointed when punisher doesnt figure in any top lists.....
So i recommend Punisher vs Russian, their first battle......No gadgets, no acrobatics, no super powers....
Pure, no holds barred pain fest..........and i hope this gets a higher place
I mean come on...batman vs mutant leader at rank 24?????.......well Punisher vs Barracude was anytime better than this,,,,,,and any of the two battles they had............
One more recommendation....Punisher vs the russian army at the nuclear base in the From Russia with Love arc in Punisher max.......

I'm glad the Punisher vs Barracuda is on the list, the first battle was great, but the second one was messy and vicious, this fight is in my Top Ten. Peace.

The best part of the Judas Contract was that Terra remained "evil" through the end. I'm sure a lot of readers at the time thought that Terra might turn on Deathstroke, and say that her time with the Titans made her realize the error of her ways.... but nope. Evil. To the end. Awesome.

When they make the Punisher: War Journal movie, I am very very excited to have Dolph Lundgren vs. Michael Clarke Duncan for all the marbles.

Were it revealed that U. Thor was actually a paranoid schizophrenic human empowered by stolen Kirbytech, and not a Norse God like he is in the more genre-diverse ( or inconsistent, depending on your perspective ) Classic Marvel comic, it would have been an utterly brilliant move and have gone a long way towards convincing me of the Ultimate Universe's continued potential. I miss the David Icke of the superhero set :(

The Judas Contract is one of those sagas you hear how good they are for years and when you finally get the chance to read it you find out It's Completely Overrated!

Also, that recap of the Zoom/Flash fight really showcases how stupid that whole storyline is. Had Johns not come up with a happy ending I would have likely burned the entire stack of Flash tpbs he'd written. It's one thing to write lame storylines that relate to torturing the heroes (that seems to have become so popular with DC lately), but it's a whole other level of insanity that writes it into the key motivation of the villain.

But, I should add, thanks for the write-ups, which I'm really enjoying!

You should do a "Top five covers where another hero rips off Iron Man's head (or otherwise abuses him)". It's become quite a popular motif in the last few year.

Some corrections to the origin of the Titans feud:

The Titans met Grant Wilson (who was just some dude at the time) in the first issue, the one where they formed, and unknowingly pissed him off, so he asks the HIVE to help him kill them at the very end of the issue... ...But by the second issue they've changed their mind and ask his father Deathstroke to do it. Deathstroke turns them down. They give Grant superpowers instead, name him "The Ravager" and send him after the Titans. Deathstroke realizes that the process will kill Grant and goes to the fight just to get Grant back, not to fight the Titans. The process kills Grant and the Titans hand over the body to Deathstroke, who leaves peacefully. At the end of the issue, however, Deathstroke reluctantly takes on the contract himself. He doesn't actually attack the Titans himself until #10. He then disappears again until #34, at which point he's already put his Terra plan into motion. The man is perhaps over-cautious. Can you tell I just re-read these?

The point is, the Ravager was created and first attacked the Titans in #2 and Deathstroke first tried to kill them in #10.

Awesome that the Flash vs. Zoom battle from "Blitz" is on the list. When he was first created, Zoom was a pretty scary villain with a unique trait (making the hero "better" through tragedy) but after his first appearance he was watered down by other writers, so I was kind of glad that both he and Inertia were done away with in the "Rogues Revenge" series.
