Frank Miller + Buck Rogers = Huh?

That is A way to go, I suppose.

First the Spirit, now Buck Rogers (if the reports are true) - I can't wait until we see noir Popeye from Miller, too!

I'm unable to completely give up hope for that Spirit movie until I see it. no matter how hard I try.

So the first thing I thought when I saw this was "Well, then, I guess this means somebody was impressed by the Spirit! Obviously the Spirit will be a great movie!""

That wore off in about five seconds. Frank Miller doing Buck Rogers? What?

I could actually see a decent Buck Rogers if they got the Frank Miller who did 'Give Me Liberty' (and sequelae) to show up...

Otherwise...

"I can’t wait until we see noir Popeye from Miller, too!"

I YAM WHAT I GODDAM YAM!

Maybe we'll be treated to some Terry and the Goddam Pirates.

It was a dark and stormy night,... when of all the gin joints in this town, she walked in.

Charles Schutz's Snoopy, written and directed by Frank Miller - Christmas 2010.

You know you want to see it. :)

Calvin and Goddamn Hobbes...

"The schizophrenic boy and his psychotic man-eating tiger tear apart a sorority house of buxom young babysitters..."

Just keep him away from Zot.

I'm a huge Miller fan and even I am probably skipping the Spirit. I also thought Sin City was a wasted effort. I think Robert Rodriguez ruined Miller as a director. If only Tarantino made Sin City and said" So Frank, here's the sets, and locations that we're going to shoot on."

How about no.

Frank Miller's Lil Abner: A lone psychopath with a ridiculously hot chick against a drug-crazed gang of thugs.

Frank Miller's Steve Roper: A lone psychopath with a ridiculously hot chick against a drug-crazed gang of thugs.

Frank MIller's Bone: A lone psychopath with a ridiculously hot chick against a drug-crazed gang of thugs.

He did a Buck Rogers type character in Tales to Offend. Lance Blastoff I think was his name.

Oh vey.

Please someone just bury this guy. And stop buying ASBR just because he wrote a great Batman story 20 years ago.

If it's black and white with "artistic" splashes of color, I'll die laughing.

i hate to admit it, but i kind of want The Spirit to fail... just to teach him a lesson and give him some karmic payback for ASBARTBW.

I wonder if he'll base his version of Buck Rogers on his Lance Blastoff character from Tales to Offend...

My floating city screams.

Wilma Deering. She grew up. She filled out.

Wonder if he'll cast Erin Grey from the last Buck Rogers film and whoever played Buck in that film, Gil something or the other.

Wonder if he'll do some more ASBAR.

Wonder if that Miller/Adams collaboration is still on (if so, probably in 2020).

I hope it IS Lance Blastoff and not Buck rogers.

"beedeebeedeebeedeebeedee I'm the goddamn, Twiki! And I vibrate, ladies!"

“The schizophrenic boy and his psychotic man-eating tiger tear apart a sorority house of buxom young babysitters…”

Blackjack, Im want to see that movie.

if the spirit is half as bad as it already supposedly is, Frank Miller will be our generations Ed Wood.

Coming soon ... She'll give you advice. Oh yes. She'll give you goddamn advice."
FRANK MILLER'S MARY WORTH ... because Frank goddamn demanded it.

I'm still waiting for someone to think - "Hey! Ernie Bushmiller's Nancy! That'd be a GREAT movie!"

If someone does "Buck" Rogers, I'd want to see an adaptation of Armegeddon 2419 and its sequel, not the comic strip character or the campy 70s show. Tony Rogers (the real name of the character) is a much cooler and believable character. At most, the only thing that would need an update might be the date of the character getting "lost", then awakened.

Initially the comic strip started close to the original stories, but then went off into a "Flash Gordon" like tangent.

Jerry Pournelle & Larry Niven actually did a timeline (somewhat in the form of an outline) for sequels to the original stories, at least two arcs of which were actually made as novels by other writers ("Mordred" & "Roger's Rangers").

Blackjack, Im want to see that movie.

*sigh* yeah... me too...

Isn't that awful?!?!
