So long, kitty.

Every so often I'd see Eartha Kitt was playing Jazz Alley here in town, and I'd think, "Good for her, rocking a jazz show at her age. We should go see her."

She wasn't my favorite Catwoman, but I liked her in lots of other stuff.

We never did, and now I guess we never will.

Rest in peace.

A unique talent passes on. The local Christmas radio marathon has been playing her "Santa Baby" a lot since early December. Madaonna's remake couldn't match that purring quality to her voice. It's no wonder she played Catwoman.

Aw, wow. Eartha Kitt was awesome, both in talent and in spirit. Is awesome. Huh, and I'd completely forgotten she'd played Catwoman. I think I need to see some of those old episodes again.

Mrowrrr. God speed miss kitt.

She was my favorite of all the Catwomen. She didn't just purr in her role, she growled. I also enjoyed her immensely as Ysma in The Emperor's New Groove. You will be missed, Eartha.

I knew this would happen, so many times I told my wife we've got to go to Jazz Alley and see her while we still can, now it's too late. Rest In Peace Eartha.

Rest in Peace, Ms. Kitt. You were an amazing performer.
