I read Red Blinds the Foolish this weekend and also really feared for Rafita once he began to be fearful in the ring. I love artists who make you really worry that something bad could happen to a main character—Ai Yazawa, Joss Whedon—versus those where you just know everyone's going to make it out okay.

I read a little bit of it in the store, but got turned off by all the boobs going boi-yoi-yoing, and put it back on the shelf.

Well I've heard alot of people swear by the anime version of Higurashi: When They Cry, but i personally haven't seen/ read either version. It sounds potentially interesting.
