Presumably, Karl, they're setting up the character for his own spin-off film. So he probably gets disfigured during this movie.

Deadpool is played by Ryan Reynolds which bodes super well.
left to right. Deadpool, Gambit, Unknown, Sabertooth, Silverfox

I like the "unknown" for Wolverine.
Cute.

Why can't Silverfox be left as a normal human character?
I know she joined Hydra or whatever in the comics, but seriously, you can pretty much bet that every character who dies [especially lovers, friends or siblings of the main character] in the 1st half of any comic book movie, will return with magic super powers [either as the villian or to save the day] in the end.

Why do people love Ryan Reynolds so much? That mediocre* sit-com? Blade 3 was terrible!!!
*Most all sit-coms are mediocre, All in the Family excepted.

Still wish they'd put Liev Schreiber in a Blond wig... or at least dyed his hair...
Still... Should be a good popcorn movie...

What I find even more curious is this: What the devil are the four of them looking at? Wolverine is looking right at you, but the other four are looking down at what?
No offense to Liev Schreiber, who is a terrific actor in his own right, but why the cast change from Tyler Mane (?) the original Sabretooth from the first X-men movie?
Lastly, wasn't Silverfox killed off in a Wolverine flashback in the comics? I seem to remember Claremont writing this in the first 12 issues of the Wolverine series (I think Bil Sienkiewicz drew this).

Oooh, nice. Glad to see Gambit and Deadpool getting some poster love (though it looks less like a poster and more like a photo spread. Either way...)

Deadpool needs more pouches dammit.

If one of those characters is supposed to be Gambit, it therefore cannot be cool. Simple logic.

I think you answered your own question.

Its a fine publicity shot, as a poster its kind of weird. Aren't these people not all on the same side? So if this movie succeeds we can look for Gambit and Deadpool movies in a few years?

I think Tom has a point, Sabretooth doesn't need a 'terrific actor' all he needs is a physical presence like Tyler Mane. Any attempt to characterise Sabretooth in the comics (Birdy etc.) didn't get anywhere. Sabretooth just needs to be a big feral guy that antagonises Wolverine over and over and over and over and over and over....

I hear that in this movie, Sabretooth has more than one line. So at least that explains why Tyler Mane isn't back.

What are they all looking at? This poster leaves me with the feeling that something much more interesting is happening on the floor.
Sabretooth, actually, seems to be looking at Wolverine's ass.
Hell if I know.

The only Ryan Reynolds movie I've seen was Blade Trinity (which I didn't much care for), but based on that performance I can believe him as Deadpool and understand why others are so enthusiastic.

I'll watch it, but I'm unable to get excited for this movie. The poster needs less Gambit and more Blob.

That poster looks like a photo of a mediocre mid-80s rock group.

I was kinda worried, but at least the poster soothes some worries.
I'm with Lord Paradise, Blob should be on the poster not gambit.

Oh thank God. I thought they might make this a fun movie. What a relief they gave all the characters that same generic "cool" look.

Gambit looks like a girl in that pic. LOL
Weapon X in this movie reminds me more of Ultimate X-Men then 616 X-Men. Which isn't always a bad thing. The stories in the Ultimate books were modernized and more realistic for motion pictures.
As much as I want to see Blob, I can't help but think of Austin Powers' Fat Bastard everytime I see him in the trailer.

Deadpool isn't about shooting everything in sight. Deadpool is about talking a mile a minute, never letting up. Ryan Reynolds does that. Catch Van Wilder sometime...Turn on Comedy Central..it's on now...regardless of what time or day or year you read this..they're showing it.

Cool, this movie poster just saved me nine bucks by convincing me not to see Wolverine: Origins. Thanks, crappy movie poster!

Ryan Reynolds is actually perfect for Deadpool. They're both obnoxious, unfunny, boring men that exemplify the fact that nerds have terrible senses of humor.

Gambit hits the big screen and I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit.
Coincidence?

glad someone mentioned the '80's rock band' connection-now don't get me wrong,i've been a fan of X-MEN and Wolverine for a looooong time, but the movies and,Hugh Jackmans casting in the part particularly,is like the Bon Jovi version of Wolverine.now,i can understand, that maybe they'd cast a goodlooking guy in the role for many silly-yet-box-office-crowd-drawing reasons, but Hugh's what,6"1 and Wolverine's well,a bit of a short arse really...which is one of the main identifying characteristics of the character!!!and yes,Hugh has the attitude down pretty well most of the time-but it IS scripted that way remember, and i'm sure they must've had someone else on their list that would matched up a bit more 'size-wise' without comprising any of the characters personality.like wise with Liev Schrieber-good actor most definitely, but not the right guy for this part in my opinion(maybe trying a bit harder with the image wouldn't have hurt...fuck it,they should,ve kept Tyler Mane and just had him less wild looking!!!).actually, the casting for this movie's just really horrible all round-pity.

All you people are know-it-all bitches. Putting down Ryan R., saying the poster makes you not want to see movie, the 80's rock band comment, and the biggest POS raoul saying the casting for this movie is just horrible all round-pity. I didn't know you all were such movie experts. Exactly what movies have you had a part in? I have to assume someone who know so much about casting has had his hand in some great movies? Oh, you are just a punk who hasn't done shit....big shock! Why don't you all at least wait to see the movie before acting like you know what you are talking about.

it's funny when people get all pissy because you've said something negative about an actor they like(or have a crush on)...news flash buddy,NOT EVERYONE LIKES THE SAME THINGS YOU DO,and occasionally y'know, they might say things you won't agree with-it's just an opinion,it's not like they've personally come round to your house and shit on your toast!!jeez!
