You may not have believed me then. But believe me now. Okay, so the release date is off by a month, but Marvel is still publishing a Dark Wolverine book. Will Cooking with Wolvie: The Sharpening be next!?

That Dark Wolverine article could use some copy editing.

To be fair, I think they’re canceling one of the Wolverine titles to make room for it.

This news, combined with the simultaneous NYCC revelation of an upcoming Kyle/Yost X-Force mini-series subtitled ” Sex and Violence “, suggests that there’s a movement at Marvel towards the elevation of stupidity as an art form.

Actually, “Sex & Violence” is just a one-shot.
Me, I’m just wondering if Peter David and George Perez have grounds for a lawsuit.

Why would PAD and Perez sue Marvel over the retooling of one of the Wolverine books?

I think Michael is referring to Peter David & George Perez’ old title: “Sachs & Violens”.
I can’t tell if he’s being facetious (or ironic) or just doesn’t realize that their title was a play on the old phrase “sex and violence”, which the X-Force special is using – straight-up.
Either way; DARK DAKKEN makes me wonder why I still care about comics.

He’s makinga joke/reference to David & Perez’s title “Sachs And Violens” which Marvel/Epic published back in the early 90′s and which DC put out in trade a couple years back…

What’s Wolvie going to make after he finishes the poutine and back bacon?
I’m curious to see how far they’ll take this “Dark” nonsense. “Dark Jubilee”? “Dark Power Pack”? “Howard the Duck of Darkness”?

If they released a ” Dark Penance ” book, would it become so Dark that the Eartn itself could not escape its gravitational pull?

Personally I’d purchase a Cooking with Wolverine comic….it’ sounds more entertaining than Dakken: Live at Budukhan.

Isn’t “dark Wolverine” a double negative. Does that make him a pacifist who collects Hello Kitty merchandise?

I’d definitely read a “Howard the Duck of Darkness” comic.

Marvel needs to get the rights to Darkwing Duck.
Also: yeah, Wolverine is becoming Dark Wolverine, and Wolverine: Origins is apparently ending soon, replaced by Wolverine: Weapon X. So, in the long run, it looks like we’ll be down one Logan-centric book.
And, that’s gotta be cause for celebration.

Pretty funny, but I’m still waiting for Dark Dark Avengers with the all-dark variant.
That, and Dark Archie.

Pretty bad though this is, I think the suicide rate will remain stable until the release of Dark Venom.
