I remember owning the Marvel Tales version of the Super Skrull/”green stick” story… man, those were comics worth reprinting. Not like nowadays, where we get sequential reprints of big events (Secret Invasion Chronicles is starting soon, I hear…).

Chris Jones: Miss Don’t Touch Me is 92 pages long. It’s quite dense, though – those scans I posted cover less than half the page. Lots of panels, lots of details.

Eddy Current is a great comic, and the library edition is really nice; well worth the money. I’m really glad Image is publishing these.

I really liked American Elf Vol. 3. Granted, it’s not hilarious, but for snippets of daily life, it’s an amusing whole. Just creating a new strip every day for 10 years straight is a remarkable effort.

MTU #61 was the first comic I ever bought and it was full of all kinds of great fun. No wonder I became hooked on Claremont/Byrne comics. The issue was exciting, the art was engaging, Spidey was funny, there was a mystery, a ton of supporting characters, references to arcane areas of Marvel history, and a scary villain’s last page appearance. To be continued! Wow. BTW, Jean DeWolfe was introduced about a year earlier in a Bill Mantlo-penned Spidey/Iron Man team-up that also introduced her brother, the Wraith.

Also, I forgot to add that in addition to Jean DeWolff and Kris Keating, Rafael Scarfe was an old friend of Misty Knight and the usual police contact for Iron Fist, back in the Claremont-Byrne days. That story must have been just full of Easter eggs.

How long is “Miss Don’t Touch Me?” I don’t like paying a bunch o’ cash for stuff that’s not at least a hundred pages.

I’m neurotic about money like that.
