OK, I’m amused. (Although I wouldn’t have expected quite that level of sophistication from the main character.)

This is how I feel every time I read a Grant Morrison story and go online to see people talking about how they didn’t understand it.

I dunno, maybe Josh and I have mutant powers.

Thok–

I think that makes it funnier. Josh (I think I have the name right here) is much easier to relate to for a mainstream comics fan. If this was Marissa (again, think I’ve got the name right) it would come across as much harsher and condescending. This way it’s not indy-comics snobbery but the guy that runs the super-hero centric shop explaining things.

Great strip this time, guys. Finally, a comic about comics I can relate to….

This was funny.

Heh. Finally a character I can fully relate to – the guy in the green shirt summed up my feelings about Final Crisis perfectly. I still can’t believe there are people out there who understood or even enjoyed that thing. Although, to each his own of course. Good strip!

That is EXACTLY how I feel every time I go on the internet. I’m so glad somebody made a comic calling these nitwits out. And no, before people jump on me, by nitwit I don’t mean “People who didn’t like Final Crisis”, I mean “People who didn’t like Final Crisis because they didn’t understand Final Crisis and made no effort to try and do so.”

I did enjoy it, in other words.

Yeah, this made me chuckle.

Great strip.

Sorry two weak ones in a row…

I have to say this is probably my favourite Comic Critics strip yet. Not because it is the funniest but because it is the most succinct summary of at least my thoughts on the internet splitting in half over Final Crisis that I have seen. Well put guys, it will certainly prove useful in any discussions I might have about Final Crisis.

Woohoo! Josh is a Grant Morrison fan! And yes, this is the exact reaction of people who “don’t get Final Crisis” when you try to explain it …

LOL!! excellent work guys. You just gave me a recap of every Final Crisis arguement on the mesage boards.

You just gave me a recap of every Final Crisis arguement on the mesage boards.

Well, Josh was way too polite and never at any point called the guy stupid for not understanding, so I wouldn’t say it captured every Final Crisis discussion. ;)

What a great strip, fellas! Amazing!

This is the best Comic Critics ever.

I actually kinda liked this one. 2 out of 39 ain’t bad.

Hmmm… I haven’t read final Crisis yet so I don’t know if I’ll understand it. So far I’ve understood most of the first two volumes of The Invisibles, but the final volume completely lost me from just about the first page. I was fine with The Filth – but probably missed loads of the subtleties. I enjoyed some of the individual stories in 7 soldiers, but Seven Soldiers #1 didn’t make any sense at all to me.

I think I understood just about everything else I’ve read by Morrison (which is most of what he’s written)

I don’t fancy my chances….

(except Seaguy)
