Didn't understand the IGN comment, but the rest was funny.

I agree, the last installment was the best one yet, but this was still a good one.

Aaaaaaah, more Scott Pilgrim love. It makes me warm and fuzzy inside.
(The IGN comment is a reference to the video game sequences that Scott Pilgrim utilizes.)

This one didn't do a huge amount for me, despite my love of 'Scott Pilgrim', but 'You lie like a bastard!' is a great line.

I still don't get it, IGN is way more than video games. Ah well.

I miss the days when a +2 sword meant a D&D reference.

"Mjolnir +1 vs. Indie Snobs" made me laugh.

I lost count of the ways that comic makes no sense to me.

Didn't get a lot of this one, either, thanks to my ignorance of not only gaming-type stuff but also SCOTT PILGRIM ... but, y'know, what I could relate to was pretty funny.

Yeah, no impact for me here either.

I've personally never devoted a single second (not even 0.5E-6, rounded up to 1 second) of my life to Scott Pilgrim, video games, comics (spandex or indie!), Batman, Thor, manga, Oni Press, CSBR, CBR, USA, Comic Critics, independent thought, creativity or culture of any Sol-based variety, but I'm pretty sure this comic completes me.

And thank *you* for not ripping my head off when I got downright nasty the other day. (It's been a not-so-nice couple of weeks, lowlighted by my gf's cat getting a death sentence from the vet a few hours before her employee -- & her & my good friend -- was found dead on his couch after failing to show up for work after a weeklong Gannett-mandated "furlough." I mean, I'm often predisposed to truculence anyway, but ...)

This is totally not to one-up you, just so you know where I was coming from: I lost my father-in-law the first week of this year. There are various trust issues with settling the estate with his new wife that have my wife stressed out, which really gets to me. I started out this week with my dog peeing on my hand, strictly for medical reasons. I think I finally got my head on straight when my daughter caught the flu and threw up on me twice Friday night and I decided that next week is just around the corner and I will make it go better.
Sorry to hear about your gf's pet and your friend. You have my sympathies on both counts.
It's nice to have a common place to get away for a laugh, no matter how differently we might appreciate it.

Yes, it is. CSBG is a special place. As is CBR, of course.
And of course you have my sympathies as well.
Just when I was thinking this couldn't *help* but be a better year than 2008 ... Hah!
