I missed that this was going on but I agree with the decision not to go into overtime. I voted for Barry but this is a basketball tournament analogy and winning by a mere three points lead as time runs out is in the finest tradition of that competition.

Not to mention the arguments that having overtime would open up. If you allow overtime with a close to 50% vote, then you could argue for it with 51%, etc.

I think you’ve got a clear mandate here, but in case there’s a flurry at 10:59…no overtime unless it is an actual tie in # of votes.
