Cool Charity Auction by the “Liefelds”

Rob Liefeld has a neat auction up on eBay right now for the charity Global Freedom, which is dedicated to helping the Dalits in India, mostly through helping them with education (building schools, etc.).
The idea behind the auction is that Rob’s 8-year-old son Luke drew a picture of Kid Deadpool. Rob then inked said drawing then penciled and inked a drawing of Deadpool behind it.
Here‘s the link for the auction. It’s a clever idea for a good cause.

Insert “kid draws better than dad” joke here. But I would buy a whole comic drawn by Luke Liefeld and inked by Rob.

@ Bill Reed:
Hell no. Kid Deadpool was standing on nothing.
Still, it’s a cute enough idea for a good cause, so I’ll spare my usual Liefeld snark.

That picture’s actually alright. In fact, left foot excluded, I’d even go so far as to see good.

Amazing. Even with a character wearing a full face mask, Liefeld manages to make him look constipated.

I think it actually looks pretty good. It’s good to see them doing something for a cause.

Even with all his flaws, for the most part I always felt Liefeld did a good Deadpool. Good enough, at least.

Man, great Deadpool. The one in the background isn’t half-bad, either. Imagine if Sam Loeb hadn’t died. In 10-15 years I’d totally be saying “man, I can’t wait for the new Loeb/Lifield book” without a hint of irony. Yes, it’s funny, but to an extent I’m serious. For an 8 year old that picture is incredible.

Overall I am impressed with the picture. For Liefield it looks pretty solid. It could have been something really lame that he threw together for a background on his kid’s project, but it works as a whole.
