The Cover to the Final Crisis Hardcover
- by Brian Cronin
- in Final Crisis
It is certainly quite a bit of a spoiler, but otherwise, wow, J.G. Jones does a great job on the cover for the Final Crisis hardcover.
Check it out (courtesy of Wired.com)...

Pretty darn cool looking.

I love this. Saw it a few days ago in the Robot 6 blog.

nice - but really, they should have done one of 3 things:
1) kept JG on Final Crisis covers only, with Mahnke doing art.
2) kept JG on interiors only, with someone else doing covers (or limit JG to his one cover instead of doing covers to lots of early FC books and tie-ins)
3) had the whole series in the can with JG on everything before soliciting.
not
4) mishandling yet another event. I really wanted to love the story of FC, it's the art changes that kept ripping me out of the narrative in issues 4-6.

Beautiful, I always love J.G. Jones' work.
But why does he always have so much trouble with the Superman logo? At the very least you think they could just photoshop a sharp one in there or something.

First Kara, then Kon-El, and then Bruce-El..oops, Batman. =)

Something's wrong here. That's two images of Superman cradling Batman's body now, but he's not crying in either one. It's almost like Morrison, Jones and Mahnke get Superman, or something.
That guy again...

Call me crazy but I just don't want to see the grinning corpse of a pop culture icon on the cover to my really expensive comic.
Unless its a Marvel Zombie thing, of course.

It may be a spoiler, but I still wouldn't understand it... what the cover needs is an explanation

For a skeleton, Batman sure has a lot of muscles.

More a teaser than a spoiler....
Quite a nice image, it will look good on my shelf!
